Carpathian Sea Democracy Week in Truskavets - a platform of partnership between Ukraine and Norway

Representative of Center for Energy Security of Ukraine took part in the of the Carpathian Sea Democracy Week in Truskavets - a platform of partnership between Ukraine and Norway. Communities, businesses, NGO talked about challenges and opportunities. We also talked about energy efficiency and energy security.


All communities are interested in finding financing and technical solutions to become energy independent.




It was very symbolic that the day before the Truskavets City Council concluded an ESCO contract for the installation of solar panels on the roof of the city hospital thanks to the UNDP project.


Tamara Burenko - executive director of the NGO Center for Energy Security of Ukraine - told about the experience of energy-efficient and green restoration of communities that suffered during military operations and communities' requests for energy efficiency.


Communities are actively looking for energy-efficient and sustainable energy solutions for communal facilities and distributed generation.


Communities are also looking for cities partners who can share their experience in implementing energy-efficient measures.


We will continue to provide information and communication support to communities and look for partners for them.
